Bishopton Equestrian centre is a family run yard on the Stockton, Darlington border in Bishopton village. We are a professional, family run livery yard and competition centre, housing 30 livery horses and running shows from Unaffiliated dressage, Showing, Clinics, Showjumping and more.
The centre is owned and run by Katherine and Adam, who also run West House equestrian centre 1 mile up the road. Katherine is a qualified BHSAI and competed for a number of years on 13.2hh – 14.2hh ponies in affiliated showjumping. Katherine competed horses at open level BSJA under training from top international showjumper Tim Stockdale.
Katherine now travels up and down the country and to Ireland with her 14 year old daughter Emilie, who currently competes BS nationally on 138cm and 148cm ponies. Katherine competed on BSJA ponies as a junior and since the age of 18, she is a qualified riding instructor (BHSAI) as well as selling horses/ponies and running her livery yard. Katherine has turned her attention more towards teaching, training and her livery clients, rather than selling the ponies.
Katherine and her staff run a super-efficient yard, concentrating on caring for showjumping ponies, livery horses, schooling ponies and many more. Katherine and Adam have a dedicated team of staff, which in order to keep their yard to the highest of standards.
